Verifying the Assets of Beneficiaries: We Can Help!

State Medicaid directors are well aware of the federal scrutiny of their asset verification programs, and asset verification is receiving attention for many government benefits programs. Bills under consideration in at least three states would mandate that social service agencies determine eligibility by evaluating data on both income and assets. (See related article.) Missouri's H 1795, for example, would require the state department of social services to develop a method for verifying (among other things) the assets of clients applying for SNAP, TANF, and other benefit programs.

Equifax can provide data assets to help you maintain program integrity in the face of these heightened expectations. We can help you locate undisclosed assets based on data contributed directly by hundreds of leading financial institutions.
